Everything you need in one place — dates, holiday peace rules, traditional context and practical leave-planning tools, designed for both Norwegian residents and English-speaking expats.
Why this site?
Information about Norwegian holidays is scattered across dozens of websites. Most are years old, with outdated design, slow on mobile and overloaded with ads. Many sites copy data from each other without checking the official sources. Norway Holidays is built differently:

- From official sources. All holiday dates come from Lovdata and Regjeringen.no. School holidays follow the skoleruta from Utdanningsdirektoratet (Udir). Flag days from Regjeringen.no and the Royal House.
- Two languages. Information is available in Norwegian Bokmål and English — for both Norwegian residents and English-speaking residents or workers in Norway.
